Hmmm. So I was trying to visit one of my favorite websites - a blog you can also visit here. It's written by a ranch wife in Oklahoma: "The Pioneer Woman". She's my age, and she's hysterical. She also admits on her site: "Butter is considered a food group" in her house.
Right on, Sister.
Anyway, she apparently posts the pictures she uses on her very clean, very appropriate website using Flickr.com.
Here in the UAE, "Flickr" must be considered bad, because UAE-Big-Brother-Man (I'd bet my ovaries it ain't a Woman in this part of the world...) says:
"Uh-uh-uhhhh~uhhhhh. No Pioneer Woman pictures for YOU, Holly!"
Oh, give me a break. Two of many things I prefer about my religion is that A) It doesn't get involved in my government and B) Christ allows us Free Choice. He may say it's bad for you - but I liken the relationship to the benevolent parent who says to his frizzy-haired, wide-eyed, crying child with its pitiful, blackened finger:
"Aha. Well. I told you not to stick your finger in that outlet."
Here's what I'm talking about:

Which, when translated, says:
We apologize the site you are attempting to visit has been blocked due to its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates. If you think this site should not be blocked, please visit the Feedback Form available on our website.
I'm so thankful - and I'm so proud to be an American.
