Fun with Max

Well, there are a couple things I like more than horses...but not many. John is up there...but otherwise, not a lot tops communion with a horse.

I've not been able to ride much the last few years, so when Max offered to let me ride her 18-hh gelding, Sterling, I was pretty excited.

Here's a pic of Max, right after she hopped on, and no, his head position is not great, but I liked this shot that I took with my telephoto lens...

Here we go...this looks good. Max makes it look easy.

Yep, she sure does. Here I am, concentrating - and I never DID get him to collect like Max got him to. He's a tough horse to ride; he makes you work for every step! (Which is good!)

I LOVE this picture that Max took! Dressage is truly "ballet for horses."
