Every Compound Needs a Cat

This is Peshak, (which means "cat" - how original- in the Afghan dialect Dari.) She's the SOC Theater Liaison Element's resident cat. She mouses for them and since you're not allowed to have pets - is rarely let anywhere near an office or anybody's bed.

But since I'm here, and it's bitter cold outside, I'm flagrantly breaking the rules.

She and I had a "meeting of the minds" here...





...which ended up with her taking 75% of the chair, here!

...what you don't see is her enjoying a can of beef stew the next morning...after she slept on my bed all night! :)
